About Tucker’s Grave Inn
Tucker’s Grave Inn is a wonderfully characterful place to stay with your dog in the Somerset countryside. Set in the village of Faulkland, around 25 minutes from Bath, it combines a relaxed campsite with a historic 200-year-old cider house, good food, live music and walks straight from the doorstep.
The campsite sits directly behind the pub and welcomes tents, campervans, motorhomes and caravans, with both grass and electric hook-up pitches available. There are separate areas for families, adults and groups, along with hot showers, toilets, drinking water, Wi-Fi and washing-up facilities.
Dogs are very welcome at Tucker’s. They can stay with you on the campsite and are also welcome on leads in the Inn, Parlour, Skittle Alley, Cocktail Bus and Barn. This makes it particularly handy if you’re looking for dog-friendly camping in Somerset where your dog can actually be part of the holiday rather than being excluded from the main facilities.
There are footpaths, bridleways and quiet country lanes close to the campsite, so you can head out for a walk without having to drive somewhere first. The wider Somerset countryside offers plenty more to explore, while Bath and the Mendip Hills are within easy reach for a day out.
Back at Tucker’s, the historic inn is very much part of the experience. Food is available throughout the week, with the Old Parlour Café open at weekends and evening food served on Fridays and Saturdays. The Barn hosts regular live music, particularly on Saturday nights between March and November, so weekends tend to have a livelier atmosphere than midweek stays.
If camping isn’t your thing, Tucker’s also has a four-bedroom holiday cottage sleeping up to eight guests. One dog is permitted in the cottage as standard, with additional dogs considered by prior agreement.
For dog owners looking for somewhere informal, friendly and a little different, Tucker’s Grave Inn combines a proper Somerset pub, easy countryside walks and dog-friendly camping all in one place.
Camping: Grass and hardstanding electric pitches for tents, caravans, campervans and motorhomes. The campsite is open all year.
Tucker’s Cottage: 4 bedrooms, sleeps up to 8. There are two double bedrooms and two super-king rooms, with the super-kings capable of being configured as twins. The cottage also has a family bathroom, an ensuite attic room, large kitchen and open-plan living/dining space with a log burner.
