Dog-friendly barn conversions in Devon
A converted barn usually means more space than a cottage, a rural setting and walks from the door, which makes it ideal for a holiday with a dog.
At Pitt Farm in the South Hams, three barn conversions are kept for dog owners, each with a gated garden and a terrace that gets the evening sun. A bridleway runs from the gate to the village pub, and the beaches at Bigbury, South Milton and Mill Bay take dogs all year. For a big group, Duvale Barn in the Exe Valley near Tiverton sleeps up to 44, with a private garden and hot tub.
Barns are popular with families and groups, so school holidays book up early.
