About Boscoppa Farm
Waking up to a sea view with your dog at your feet is a pretty good way to start a Cornish holiday. Boscoppa Farm is a family-run glamping and camping site on the outskirts of St Austell, set on a working farm that looks out over Carlyon Bay. You might spot tractors, horses or the odd passing deer, and there’s a real sense of peaceful countryside, even though you’re close to so much.
There are plenty of ways to stay. The two wooden barrel cabins have a king-size bed, a pull-out table and two small sofas that convert into single beds for children, so they work for couples or a small family. The bell tents suit two, with a double bed, fresh linen, rugs, blankets and a log burner. For a bit more room, the emperor tents sleep four, with a double and two single beds and a log burner to keep things snug. Prefer to bring your own kit? There are non-electric grass pitches with the same views over the bay, and small campervans are welcome too.
All of the glamping comes with a picnic bench and a firepit or BBQ, so evenings outside are easy, and you can buy logs on site. Parking is included and you can pull up right next to your accommodation. Modern showers and toilets are a short walk away, and there’s an outdoor washing-up station. Just remember to bring your own towels.
Dogs are very welcome here. The team ask that they’re well behaved and kept off the beds, and dangerous breeds aren’t accepted.
You’re well placed for a day out too. Carlyon Bay is less than two miles away, with three beaches that the site describes as dog friendly, and Charlestown’s harbour is close by. The Eden Project is around ten minutes’ drive or a 40-minute walk through the farm, so it’s an easy base for exploring this part of Cornwall.
