About The Stonehenge Inn
The real Stonehenge is just over two miles down the road, and these days you can’t get close to the stones. Here you can: the inn has a replica circle out front, and a wishing well on site too.
Inside the pub there are single, double and large family rooms, all with en-suite showers and flat-screen TVs. One has a floor-to-ceiling Stonehenge mural behind the bed. Out in the courtyard there are green shepherd’s huts with their own en-suites, and an 1885 railway carriage painted in its old LSWR livery and turned into a cosy double.
It’s room-only, but you won’t have to go far to eat. The kitchen serves all day: burgers, pizzas, calzones, kebabs, pub classics and a Sunday roast, with a 2-for-£25 menu and cocktails all day. Five big screens show Sky and BT Sport, so it gets lively on match days.
Dogs can stay for £20 per stay. Woodhenge is just down the road, and the open grassland and footpaths of the wider Stonehenge landscape make for good walks with a dog on a lead.
It’s also a handy base for Salisbury and Old Sarum, the stone circle at Avebury, Longleat and the Hawk Conservancy, and the free fibre Wi-Fi reaches every room.
