About Duvale Barn
Duvale Barn is a wonderfully spacious dog-friendly holiday house near Tiverton, set in the peaceful Exe Valley close to the Devon and Somerset border. Designed for large gatherings, it’s a particularly good choice for extended families and groups who want to stay together without being short of space.
The barn has 16 bedrooms and sleeps up to 44 guests as standard, making it one of the larger group properties you’ll find in Devon. Two additional small bunk rooms can also be hired, increasing the accommodation to 18 bedrooms and a maximum of 48 guests. The bedrooms are spread across five separate staircases, and there’s also a ground-floor double bedroom with a shower room nearby.
There’s plenty of communal space for a group of this size. The main living and dining room has enough room for everyone to eat together, while additional lounges give you somewhere quieter to relax. There are four kitchen areas in total, including a large main kitchen, as well as a games room with a pool table.
Outside, Duvale Barn has its own private garden and BBQ area, along with a BBQ hut for evenings spent together outdoors. There’s also a hot tub, while the wider countryside around Duvale makes it easy to get outside for a walk with the dogs.
Dogs are welcome at Duvale Barn by arrangement, making this an unusual option for anyone trying to organise a very large group holiday without leaving four-legged family members behind. The rural setting is another big advantage, with countryside walks nearby and Exmoor National Park within easy reach for longer days out.
Tiverton and the small town of Bampton are close by, while the location also puts you in a good position for exploring both Devon and Somerset. The North Devon coast can be reached for a day trip, with beaches, coastal walks and Exmoor offering plenty more opportunities to get outdoors.
